PART/FULL TIME BEHAVIOR THERAPIST

The behavior therapist will be responsible for providing intensive one-on-one behavioral intervention services to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays, such as in language, cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor and communication development. The behavior therapist is ultimately responsible for direct delivery of behavioral services according to a treatment plan to children and their families, as well as accurate record keeping of case notes. A supervising BCBA will be assigned for each client to discuss and plan for program creation, data collection and monitoring, and other support as needed. The behavior therapist maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed.

PART/FULL TIME BCBA

The BCBA works with the Director of Clinical Services and the team at Highlight. The BCBA consults, provides training to caregivers, and conducts behavioral evaluations of clients and designs behavior and individual support plans for clients. The BCBA is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, communicating and continually evaluating the effectiveness of functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans and individual education plans for clients on their caseload. The BCBA is required to adhere to the BACB’s Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts® as well as all regulatory and statutory rules of the Board of Medicine for the State of Virginia.

BCBAs must be certified through the BACB.
